Union Election Results
* On June 23, 2011, the dispatchers, AMR, FSR, SCADA and maintenance employees at East Central Energy voted by Secret Ballot Election to not have Local Union 160 represent them.
* On August 6, 2010, the lineman, water department, street and parks employees employed by the city of St. Charles, MN voted by mail ballot to have Local Union 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
* On July 20, 2010, the lineman for the Truman Public Utilities voted by mail ballot to have Local 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
* On December 30, 2009, the group at Marshall Municipal Utilities voted by mail to have Local 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
* On February 3, 2010, the Sr. Plant Process Computer Analysts at Xcel Energy Sherco Plant voted by secret ballot election to have Local 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
* On April 28, 2010, the dispatchers at Collections North for Xcel Energy, voted by secret ballot election to have Local 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
* On April 29, 2010, the Monticello Plant Engineers for Xcel Energy, voted by secret ballot election to not have Local 160 represent them.
* On May 28, 2010, the city employees of Welcome, MN voted by mail ballot to have Local 160 represent them for Collective Bargaining purposes.
Petitions For Representation Filed
* On May 18, 2011, a Petition for Representation was filed with the National Labor Relations Board for certain employees employed at East Central Energy.
* On December 29, 2010, the Bureau of Mediation Services certified Local Union 160 as the exclusive representative for all public employees for the City of Bricelyn, MN. The city representative voluntarily recognized the union therefore, there was no need for an election.
* On October 12, 2010, the Bureau of Mediation Services certified Local Union 160 as the exclusive representative for all public employees including all full time and part time lineman for the City of Grove City, MN. The City representative voluntarily recognized the union through a Majority Sign-up (Authorization for Representation cards) therefore, there was no need for an election.
* On September 30, 2010, a Petition for Representation was filed with the Bureau of Mediation Services for the city employees and lineman employed by the City of Grove City, MN.
* On July 1, 2010, a Petition for Representation was filed with the Bureau of Mediation for the lineman, water department, street and parks employees employed by the City of St. Charles, MN
* On June 1, 2010, a Petition for Representation was filed with the Bureau of Mediation Services for the lineman working for the Truman Public Utilities.
First Contract Negotiations
* Business Rep Dan Kieffer is negotiating MMU's first agreement.
* Business Rep Tom Arnold started negotiations with Xcel Energy for the Analysts.
